WARNINGS Before installing or using a swimming pool, carefully read, understand and follow all the information in this manual. These safety guidelines address some common water recreation hazards, but cannot cover all hazards and dangers in all cases. Use caution, common sense and good judgment at all times when enjoying any water activity. Safety of non-swimmers: Continuous, active and vigilant supervision by a competent adult of poor swimmers or non-swimmers is required at all times (remember, children under the age of 5 are most at risk of drowning). When using the pool, designate a competent adult to supervise you.
When using the pool, people who are poor swimmers or unable to swim should wear personal protective equipment. When the pool is not in use or left unattended, remove all toys from the pool and its surroundings so that they do not attract children to the water. Using the pool safely: Encourage all users, especially children, to learn how to swim. Learn basic resuscitation procedures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and refresh this knowledge regularly. This can save lives in an emergency situation. Instruct all pool users, including children, on what to do in an emergency situation. Never dive into shallow water. This can lead to serious injury or death. Do not use the pool under the influence of alcohol or medication, which can impair your ability to use the pool safely. Safety devices and equipment: to prevent children from drowning, it is recommended to secure access to the pool with a safety device. To prevent children from climbing on the inlet and outlet valve, it is recommended to install a barrier (and secure all doors and windows, where applicable) to prevent unauthorized access to the pool.
It is advisable to keep lifesaving equipment near the pool (such as a ring buoy). Keep a working phone and a list of emergency numbers near the pool. When a pool cover is used, remove it completely from the surface of the water before entering the pool. Protect pool occupants from water-related illnesses by treating the pool water and following hygiene guidelines. Read the water treatment guidelines in the owner's manual. Keep chemicals (such as water treatment, cleaning or disinfection products) out of the reach of children. Use the labeling described below. Place the signage in a conspicuous place within 2.00 m of the pool. Supervise children in the aquatic environment. Prohibit diving. Place removable ladders on a solid, level surface. Regardless of the materials used to construct the pool, regularly inspect the area under the pool and its equipment for safety hazards. Monitor screws and bolts regularly. Remove splinters or any sharp edges to avoid injury. Do not leave a drained pool outside. An empty pool can become deformed and/or displaced by wind. If you have a filter pump, refer to the pump's instruction manual. Do not use the pump if someone is in the pool. If you have a ladder, refer to the ladder's instruction manual. WARNING! Using the pool means following the safety instructions described in the operation and maintenance manual. To prevent drowning or other serious injury, pay special attention to the possibility of children under 5 years of age entering the pool unexpectedly, securing access to the pool and having children under the constant supervision of an adult while in the pool.
