• Appropriate safety measures must be taken to prevent the pool from being used inappropriately. • Appropriate safeguards must be in place to protect children and pets. • Only adults may assemble and disassemble the pool and its accessories. • Do not jump into or dive into the pool. • To ensure safe assembly, the pool must be placed on a firm and stable surface. Otherwise, the pool could collapse, and people inside could be thrown out with the water and suffer injuries. • Do not allow anyone to sit on the edge of the pool or climb on it. • When not in use, the pool should remain empty – remove all toys, as they attract small children. • Leave toys, armchairs, tables, or other items that children can use to climb at least 122 cm away from the pool. • Ensure that life-saving equipment is always available near the pool, and the nearest emergency telephone number is available. Examples of lifesaving equipment include: A Coast Guard-approved ring buoy with a rope and a rescue pole at least 366 cm long. • Never swim alone or allow others to do so. • Keep the pool clean. The bottom of the pool should always be visible from the outside. • If using the pool at night, ensure that all warnings, the ladder, the pool floor and the surrounding area are adequately lit. • Never enter the pool under the influence of alcohol or drugs! • Caution: Children should be kept away from covered pools to prevent them from becoming entangled in the cover and drowning or serious injury. • Remove the cover completely before using the pool. Check for children or others under the cover, as they may be hidden from view. • Never cover the pool while it is in use. • Keep the area around the pool clear to prevent injuries from slips or falls. • Keep the pool water clean to protect users from illness. • A pool is a public facility. Follow proper pool maintenance. Excessive or rapidly progressing deterioration of water quality can damage the pool. As a result, large amounts of water may leak from the pool. • The pool is suitable for outdoor use only. • Properly winterize or store the pool when it is not in use for extended periods, such as during the winter months. See the "Winter Preparation" or "Long-Term Water Storage and Drainage" sections. • While the pool is in use, you will need to use the filter pump to ensure that all the water is filtered at least once a day. Check the pump manual for the appropriate pump operating hours. SAFETY RAILS OR POOL COVERS ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR CONSTANT AND COMPETENT ADULT SUPERVISION. ADULTS MUST ACT AS LIFEGUARDS AND ENSURE THE SAFETY OF BATHERS, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN, IN AND AROUND THE POOL. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE WARNINGS MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO OBJECTS, SERIOUS INJURY, OR EVEN DEATH! Pool owners should familiarize themselves with local and national regulations regarding child safety, safety railings, lighting, and other safety measures. General Information • To avoid injury (especially on touch surfaces), regularly check pins, plugs and/or screws for corrosion and check for chips or sharp edges. Non-swimmer Safety • Constant, active and careful supervision of inexperienced swimmers and non-swimmers by a competent adult is required (remembering that children under five years of age are most at risk of drowning). • Designate an adult to competently supervise the pool at all times during use. • Inexperienced swimmers and non-swimmers should wear personal protective equipment when using the pool. • When the pool is not in use or unsupervised, all toys should be removed from the pool and its surroundings to prevent children from becoming interested in the pool. Safety Devices • It is advisable to install a barrier (and, where possible, secure all gates) to prevent unauthorised access to the pool. • Barriers, pool covers, pool alarms or similar safety devices are a good aid, but do not replace constant and competent adult supervision. Safety Equipment • We recommend keeping life-saving equipment (e.g., a lifebuoy) near the pool. • Keep a working telephone and a list of emergency numbers near the pool. Safe Pool Use • Encourage all people using the pool – especially children – to learn to swim. • Learn the rules for immediate rescue (CPR) and refresh them regularly. If necessary, this knowledge could save someone's life. • Instruct all people using the pool, including children, on what to do in an emergency. • Do not enter the shallow end of the pool abruptly. This can result in serious injury or death. • Do not use the pool after consuming alcohol or medication. This may adversely affect safety during pool use. • If using pool covers, completely remove them from the water surface before entering the pool. • Protect pool users from water-related illnesses by treating pool water and maintaining proper hygiene. • Keep chemicals (e.g., water treatment, cleaning, or disinfection products) out of the reach of children. • Place movable ladders on a level surface. • Observe and follow warnings and safety signs posted on the pool wall.
