- - Do not leave the lawnmower operating unattended; if you leave the engine, turn off the engine. - Never lift the rear of the lawnmower when starting and always keep limbs away from the cutting deck and rear discharge chute when the engine is running. - Do not adjust the engine speed settings. - On self-propelled lawnmowers, release the drive lever before starting. - Do not transport the lawnmower when the engine is running. - Do not smoke or use a telephone when handling fuel. - Never refuel or open the fuel tank when the engine is hot or running. CAUTION: The cutting blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after the engine is turned off. - For safe operation, regularly check that cotter pins, screws and nuts are securely tightened. - Keep other persons away from the work area. - Caution, rotating blades! Protect limbs from the risk of injury. - Toxic gas emissions. Do not use the petrol lawnmower in enclosed or unventilated rooms. - Hot surfaces, risk of burns! - Before performing maintenance, stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug. - Never add fuel while the engine is running. - Wear hearing protection. - Wear safety glasses. - Wear respiratory protection. - Wear safety shoes. - Always stay away from moving parts. - Follow contour lines on slopes, not up and down. - Gasoline is extremely flammable - allow the engine to cool for 2 minutes before adding fuel.
