- Do not touch the sharpener blade, especially when opening or cleaning the device. The blade is very sharp and may cause cuts. - Do not insert fingers into the openings to avoid injury. - Before cleaning, emptying the container or replacing the blade, make sure the device is switched off and unplugged (remove the batteries). - Use as intended. Do not use it for other purposes or with unusual objects. - Do not use a damaged device. - Store in a safe place. Keep the device away from water, heat sources and out of the reach of small children when not in use. BATTERIES AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES - Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children. - Do not store batteries/rechargeable batteries within easy reach of children or pets; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children. If swallowed, consult a doctor as soon as possible. - Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns upon contact with skin, so always wear suitable protective gloves when handling them. - Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, disassembled, or thrown into fire. Risk of explosion! - Do not recharge standard disposable batteries as they may explode! Only charge batteries intended for this purpose using an appropriate charger. - Charge rechargeable batteries before inserting them into the product. - Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under adult supervision. - Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), and rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. - Never mix new and old batteries. - Do not tamper with the power cords – this may cause a short circuit. - Remove exhausted batteries from the product. - Do not dispose of used batteries in unsorted waste! - Batteries must be disposed of in accordance with hazardous electronic waste disposal regulations. - If batteries are not disposed of properly, hazardous substances can pose a risk to human health or the environment. Recycling materials helps conserve natural resources. - Batteries/accumulators should always be inserted with the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-). - Battery type used in the product: 4 x AA Consumer information on handling used electrical and electronic equipment: Used electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with other household waste. Self-disassembly of used equipment is unacceptable. Households play an important role in contributing to the reuse and recovery, including recycling, of used equipment. This is achieved in particular through active participation in waste collection systems.
