WARNING IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. Basic safety procedures should always be followed when installing and using this electrical appliance, including: -The pump should be powered through an isolating transformer or through a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current not exceeding 30 mA. -The power supply on the wall of the building should be more than 4 m away from the pool. -The appliance must be powered from a grounded power supply. -ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD - Do not use the pump if there are people in the pool. Do not use the pool if the sand filter is damaged. -DO NOT BURY THE CORD. Position the cord so that it is less likely to be damaged by lawnmowers, hedge trimmers or other equipment. -To eliminate the risk of electric shock, replace any damaged cord immediately. -If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. -Extension cords must not be used. -Electric shock hazard. Connecting the sand filter to an unsuitable power supply is dangerous and will cause irreversible damage to the sand filter. -Do not remove the grounding prong or modify the plug in any way. Do not use plug adapters. Consult an electrician for questions regarding grounding or plugs. -The sand filter should be handled with care. Do not pull or carry it by the power cord. Never pull the plug from the outlet by pulling on the cord. Do not allow the power cord to be chafed. Keep the sand filter away from sharp objects, oil, moving parts and heat. -Always disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before disassembling, cleaning, servicing or making any changes. -Do not connect or disconnect the appliance from the outlet with wet hands. -Always unplug the appliance: --On rainy days --Before cleaning or other maintenance --When leaving unattended during vacation. -During long periods of non-use, such as during winter, the pool set should be dismantled and stored indoors. -Note: Read the instructions before each use, assembly/disassembly of this unit. -Keep the instructions in a safe place. If you have any questions, please consult a qualified electrician. -NOTE: The sand filter is only intended for foldable pools. It must not be used with permanent pools. The foldable pool is designed to be disassembled for storage and then disassembled for re-use. A permanent pool is usually built on the ground or buried so that it cannot be dismantled for storage. -Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before assembly, dismantling or cleaning. -The appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have received supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance and if they understand the risks involved. -Children must not play with the appliance. -Pumps not marked as protected against the effects of frost should not be left outdoors during frosty weather. -Cleaning and maintenance must be performed by an adult over 18 years of age who is familiar with the risks of electric shock. NOTES: -Place the sand filter on a firm, level surface. Make sure that the sand filter is at least 2 metres away from the pool. Keep as much distance as possible. -Pay attention to the positioning of the sand filter and the pool so that there is adequate ventilation, drainage and access for maintenance work. Never place the sand filter in an area where water accumulates or where many people pass by. - The plug must be accessible after the kit has been installed. The sand filter plug should be at least 3.5 meters away from the pool. - Atmospheric conditions can affect the performance and life of the sand filter; appropriate measures must be taken to protect the sand filter from unnecessary wear and tear that may occur during periods of cold, heat and/or exposure to sunlight. - Before use, check that you have all the components. If after purchase you notice damaged or missing components, notify Bestway Customer Service by sending a notice to the address listed in this manual. - It is important to replace all worn parts as soon as possible. Only use parts approved by the manufacturer. - Do not allow children or adults to lean or sit on the unit. - Do not add chemicals to the sand filter. - When using chemicals to clean the pool water, it is recommended to respect the minimum filtration time in order to protect the health of swimmers, which depends on compliance with sanitary regulations. -Only the supports supplied or specified by the manufacturer should be used to install the product. -It is essential to check that the suction holes are not clogged. -It is recommended to stop filtration during maintenance operations on the filter system. -Regularly monitor the level of filter clogging. -It is recommended to check the filter status weekly in order to perform any backwashing or cleaning. To ensure clean water, it is recommended to filter it daily for 8 hours. -It is essential to replace any damaged element or set of elements as soon as possible. Only use parts approved by the person responsible for placing the product on the market. -All filters and filter media should be checked regularly to ensure that no dirt has accumulated, preventing good filtration. Disposal of any used filter media should also comply with applicable regulations/legislation. -All safety requirements and recommendations in the user manual should be followed. In case of any doubts concerning the pump or any other elements of the water circulation system, contact a specialist or the manufacturer/importer/distributor. The water circulation system should comply with European and national/local regulations, especially if it is in contact with electrical components. Any change in the position of the valves, change in the size of the pump or grids, may result in a change in the flow rate and an increase in the suction speed. -This product is not intended for commercial use. Please read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS
