WARNINGS Before installing or using the pool, carefully read, understand, and follow all information in the owner's manual. These safety guidelines address some common hazards associated with water recreation, but cannot cover all hazards and dangers in all cases. Always exercise caution, common sense, and good judgment when participating in any water activity. Non-swimmer safety: Continuous, active, and vigilant supervision by a competent adult is required for weak swimmers or non-swimmers (remember that children under 5 years of age are at greatest risk of drowning). Designate a competent adult to supervise the pool while in use. Weak swimmers or non-swimmers should wear personal protective equipment when using the pool. When the pool is not in use or left unattended, remove all toys from the pool and its surroundings so that they do not attract children into the water. Safe pool use: Encourage all users, especially children, to learn to swim. Learn basic life support, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and refresh this knowledge regularly. In an emergency, this could save lives. Instruct all pool users, including children, on what to do in an emergency. Never dive into shallow water. This can result in serious injury or death. Do not use the pool under the influence of alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to safely use the pool. Safety Devices and Equipment: To prevent children from drowning, it is recommended to secure access to the pool with a safety device. To prevent children from climbing over the inlet and outlet valves, it is recommended to install a barrier (and secure all doors and windows, where applicable) to prevent unauthorized access to the pool. It is recommended to keep life-saving equipment near the pool (e.g., a ring buoy). Keep a working telephone and a list of emergency numbers near the pool. When using a pool cover, remove it completely from the water surface before entering the pool. Protect pool users from water-related illnesses by treating the pool water and practicing good hygiene. Review the water treatment guidelines in the owner's manual. Keep chemicals (e.g., water treatment, cleaning, or disinfection products) out of reach of children. Use the signage described below. This signage must be prominently displayed within 2.00 meters of the pool. Supervise children in the water. Diving is prohibited. Removable ladders must be placed on a solid, level surface. Regardless of the materials used in the pool construction, regularly inspect the surface under the pool and its equipment for safety hazards. Regularly inspect screws and bolts. Remove splinters or any sharp edges to avoid injury. Do not leave the pool empty outdoors. An empty pool can become deformed and/or moved by wind. If you have a filter pump, consult the pump's instruction manual. Do not use the pump if anyone is in the pool. If you have a ladder, consult the ladder's instructions. WARNING! Using the pool requires following the safety instructions in the operation and maintenance manual. To prevent drowning or other serious injury, pay special attention to the possibility of children under 5 years of age accidentally entering the pool by ensuring access is secure and that children are under constant adult supervision while in the pool.
