1. Before starting the measurements, turn off the vehicle engine and remove the key from the ignition. Make sure that all devices
the electrical systems in the car are turned off.
2. Check the meter before use. Make sure the meter is in good condition and its test leads are not damaged.
If you notice damage, do not use the meter.
3. Avoid short circuits. Make sure that the test leads do not touch each other or any other wire in
car. Avoid short circuits which can cause sparks and damage.
4. Be careful. Do not stand on wet ground, avoid contact with metal parts of the car and do not touch
measuring cables when taking measurements.
5. Disconnect the meter. After you have finished measuring, disconnect the device from the cigarette lighter. Make sure the meter is turned off and
protected against access by children.
6. Store the meter properly. Store the meter in a dry and safe place, away from moisture and extreme
temperatures.
